Mr. Yang Haojin joined as a Ph.D. candidate in 2020 and as a Postdoc in 2024. He received his Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in Mechanical and Automation Engineering in 2024. He received master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shandong University in 2020 and bachelor degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from Harbin Institute of Technology, Weihai in 2017.
Dr. Liu Wai Shing received his Ph.D. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK)(HKPFS awardee) in 2025, Master degree in Product Development Engineering from University of Southern California in 2018 and his Bachelor degree in Mechanical & Automation Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. His research interests include electromagnetic actuation setup for microrobots and its biomedical application.
Mr. Teoh Yu Xuan received his B.Eng and M.Phil degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2011 and 2014 respectively. His main research interests include surgical robot development, especially in the design of minimally invasive tools.
Winnie received her Master degree in Surgery from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2020 and her Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering with Management from the University of Edinburgh in 2017. She joined as a PhD candidate in 2021. Her research interests include magnetic micro/nanorobots for the use in minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic treatments.
Chak Kit received his bachelor's and master's degrees in biomedical engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He joined as a Ph.D. candidate in 2022.
Mr. JIANG Yihang joined as a Ph.D. candidate in Aug. 2022. He received his Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering from Henan University of Science and Technology in 2017 and Master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Shenzhen University in 2022.
Miss GUO received B. Sc. from Xinxiang Medical University in 2017 and M. M. from Wenzhou Medical University in 2022. She specializes in animal experiments and joined as a research assistant in 2022.
Mr. ZHANG Zifeng joined as a research assistant in 2020. He received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2020) and B.Sc. degree in bioengineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology (2019). His research interests focus on the clinical translations of micro/nanorobots.
Mr. TIAN received his Bachelor degree in Material Engineering from The University of British Columbia in 2020. He joined as a Ph.D. candidate in 2024. His research interests include electrical stimulation therapy and endoscopic instruments.
Mr. MA Qianli received his M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from CUHK in 2022. And he received a B.Eng. degree in Nano Material from Beijing Jiaotong University and the University of Waterloo in 2021. His main research interests focus on 3D microstructure of organoids and novel biomaterial for immunotherapy of cancer.
Miss ZHU Xiaozhou joined as a Research Assistant in 2024. She obtained her Master's degree in Chinese Materia Medica from China Pharmaceutical University in 2023. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine in 2020.
Dr. JIANG received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from CUHK in 2025. He received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Zhejiang University in 2019. He joined as a Ph.D. candidate in 2021. His research interests include biohybrid microrobotics for targeted cargo delivery and cancer therapy.
Dr. ZHANG Chong received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from CUHK in 2024, M.Sc. degree in Mechanical & Automation Engineering from CUHK in 2019, and his B.Eng. degree from Beijing Forestry University in 2017. His main research interests focus on ingestible electronics for non-invasive diagnosis and treatment.
